About me

Compositions usually begin life by observing nature...sometimes it's simply the desire to capture a sublime moment of beauty or wonder. Other times natural elements; especially birds, but also snails, entangled branches, stunted trees, eggs and nests are themes which seem to keep appearing like reoccuring dreams, but the inspiration for all this stems from my curiosity with the entangled miniature worlds I find in trees, hedgerows, undergrowth and their intimate landscapes. Ideas come to me mostly when I'm out birdwatching or rambling around in my immediate location which is currently Northumberland.
